Majestic Fireplace Repair & Service
Long-running American fireplace brand making gas and wood fireplaces, gas inserts, and indoor/outdoor units.
About Majestic
Majestic makes factory-built fireplaces: direct-vent gas fireplaces, gas inserts, wood-burning fireplaces, and see-through indoor/outdoor models. Since 2014 it has been part of Hearth & Home Technologies, the hearth division of HNI Corporation, alongside Heat & Glo and Heatilator.
Majestic covers the entry to mid part of the market. Wood fireplaces like the Sovereign and Royalton and compact gas units like the Mercury and Quartz are common choices for builders and budget-minded remodels, while the Echelon II linear and Meridian models reach into higher price points. The whole line uses IntelliFire ignition, so many parts and service steps are shared with other Hearth & Home brands. Units are sold through hearth dealers and some online retailers, and older CFM Majestic units are still common in homes.
History
James M. Triggs founded the company in Morenci, Michigan, in 1894, and it moved to Huntington, Indiana, in 1907 to make furnaces and boilers. It sold its first steel circulating fireplace in the late 1930s and produced an early zero-clearance prefabricated fireplace in 1954. Majestic merged with American Standard in 1969, became CFM Majestic in 1995, joined Monessen Hearth Systems in 2008, and became part of Hearth & Home Technologies in 2014. In 2016 the full line moved to IntelliFire ignition.
