Solo Stove Fire Pit Repair & Service

Texas brand of stainless steel smokeless wood-burning fire pits, camp stoves and pizza ovens.

About Solo Stove

Solo Stove sells stainless steel wood-burning fire pits designed to burn with less smoke. Their double-wall construction pulls air in at the bottom and feeds preheated air to the top of the fire, which burns off much of the smoke. The lineup includes the Mesa tabletop pit, the Ranger, Bonfire and Yukon fire pits, the larger Canyon, plus stands, shelters, lids and the Pi line of pizza ovens.

The brand is aimed at homeowners and campers who want a portable or patio fire pit that is easy to set up, with no gas line needed. It is an entry-to-mid priced, direct-to-consumer brand that is also widely stocked at big-box and online retailers. Since there are no gas parts, service is mostly cleaning, ash removal and replacing worn accessories.

History

Brothers Jeff and Spencer Jan founded Solo Stove in Texas in 2011, starting with the Solo Stove Lite, a small twig-burning backpacking stove. The double-wall design was scaled up into the Ranger, Bonfire and Yukon fire pits, which became the company's main products. John Merris became CEO in 2018 and grew the business quickly online. In 2021 the company formed Solo Brands, adding Chubbies, Oru Kayak and ISLE, and went public on the NYSE that October, with headquarters in Grapevine, Texas.

Questions about Solo Stove

Who services or cleans Solo Stove fire pits near me?

The Find a Pro directory lists Pro Grill Verified companies that work on Solo Stove fire pits and pizza ovens. Search by your ZIP code to see who covers your area.

Why is my Solo Stove smoking so much?

Smoke usually comes from wet or green wood, overfilling above the top air holes, or ash blocking the bottom vents. Burning dry hardwood and emptying the ash helps it burn cleaner.

Can I convert a Solo Stove fire pit to gas?

Solo Stove fire pits are built for wood. Adding an aftermarket gas insert is not a factory option, so check with a gas technician and the warranty terms before modifying one.

How do I clean discoloration off a Solo Stove?

Bronze or blue tint is normal heat coloring on stainless steel. A stainless steel cleaner or a mild abrasive paste can reduce it, but some color will return with use.
